Workshop Breakdown:
✨ Part One: Mastery of Movement and Floorwork
Get warmed up with joint mobility exercises, core strengthening, and smooth floor transitions. Learn to navigate space with speed, precision, and agility, drawing from martial arts, contemporary dance, acrobatics, and ‘Flying Low.’ Learn a choreographed sequence that will sharpen your coordination and body awareness.
🤝 Part Two: The Art of Partnership
Master the art of partnering by diving into energy exchange and intricate movements between partners. Explore spirals, momentum and mechanics to make your lifts and jumps effortlessly dynamic. Improvisation and structured choreography will help you blend techniques, uncovering new ways to move in pairs.

👋 Short Bios:
Andrea Valenti, based in Berlin, is a professional contemporary dance teacher and performer known for his work with notable institutions like Toula Dance Company, Marameo Profitraining, and DART Studios. He directs the Salento International Contemporary Dance Festival and has performed across Europe in productions like “Against the Grain” and “SAL.” He specializes in techniques like Flying Low, Partnering, and Improvisation, blending his dance training with a background in Mathematical Engineering and coaching.
Jenna Berlyn is a freelance contemporary dance artist living in Berlin, Germany, originally from Vancouver, Canada. Focusing on contemporary dance, floor work and improvisation, she also has a background in ballet, contact dance and visual arts. Jenna is a co-founder and performer of the collective SLEX ART, which creates interdisciplinary performances, installations and media. She is an arts and culture activist, and supports the preservation of cultural scenes. As a teacher, she has taught for Modus Operandi Link and Training Society in Vancouver, Embody Riga in Latvia, and Humboldt Universität and Technische Universität in Berlin. Currently she runs her own classes out of Studio2 in Berlin.
