Event Info

SLEX ART was inspired to create an event to celebrate the talented artists in our circle. Leading into the dark days of Autumn, the weekend before Halloween, we curate the event BODY relic, honouring our fleshy bodily selves. The artists embrace the theme of body, and what our bodies can hold in terms of memory, scars and stories. Across the mediums of sound, dance, photography and performance, “body” holds various meanings. We are excited to see how it all comes together, with time to mingle, have drinks and experience the art.

Event took place at Marbella Studio, Blücherstraße 32, 10961 Berlin, on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 18-22. Doors opened at 18, performances began at 19:30. People could come early to have a drink, experience the sound installation and photography exhibit.

Artists include Andrea Galad, Nur Hektor, Aris Pedrioli, Eva AlbertI, Unai Alvarez, Jenna Berlyn, Cranya (Sebastian Vimercati)

SLEX ART

SLEX ART is an interdisciplinary collective founded by Jenna Berlyn and Aris Pedrioli and based in Berlin. The project began out of a desire and need for a platform in which the artists could discover, share and hone in on their propositions, collaborations and aesthetic values. The collective exists as a meeting point of the physical and metaphysical, visual and auditory. It uses the performative body as a tangible medium among digital landscapes. SLEX aims to use the inherent tension of relating as a source of motivation, with relationships between people, places and emotions providing endless inspiration. The pieces created by SLEX are characterized by visceral visual and aural environments, with elements of contemporary dance and raw, textural sound scores. Their creations exist as site specific installations, live performances and digital materials.
